Autumn 2010 meetings
Monday, 23rd August, 2010
7th September, 2nd November 2010, 7 pm
As summer fades thoughts turn to autumn…and WPI is no exception! So far we have two evening meetings scheduled in this autumn. These will be times when we can share the journey of living as a Christian in the workplace and in business. Journeying Together includes times of worship and prayer, times when we can make contacts (it can be a lonely world!), share thoughts, consider the impact of the Bible on how we do our work and hear each others stories. Please come ready to be heard!

Open lectures on Prayer 28th June.
Friday, 25th June, 2010
We’d just like to inform you of an event coming up on Monday 28th June.
On Monday, Watford School of Leadership are hosting a free open lecture on prayer, with Gordon and Rachel Hickson. Gordon is the associate pastor at St Aldates in Oxford.
Gordon and Rachel worked alongside Reinhard Bonnke and the Christ for All Nations team in Africa. In Zimbabwe she almost lost her life in a horrific car accident. This incident birthed in Rachel a desire to pray and to train others to realise the full potential of a praying church. After returning from Africa in 1990, Gordon and Rachel pastored a group of four churches in Hertfordshire and it was during this time that that they established Heartcry Ministries with the call to train and equip people to be released into effective prayer and intercession for their communities, cities and nations. heartcryforchange.com
Along with this, Rachel and Gordon work on many projects, one of which is a london prayer network which links churches trhoughout London LondonPrayer.net
Rachel is also the author of 4books: Supernatural Communication – The Privilege of Prayer, Supernatural Breakthrough – The Heartcry for Change, published by New Wine Ministries. Stepping Stones to Freedom and now Pathway of Peace
The lectures run all day from 9.30am till 4.30 pm, 4 lectures in total. If you’d only be able to attend for one lecture, this may be possible; please contact Stella Riggs at WSOL to book your place and if you want any more information. stella.riggs@wsol.org.uk
We hope one or two of you might be interested in this and once again, we hope you are able to make the most of the sun and you have a great weekend!

Great meeting with CLC!
Friday, 9th October, 2009
We had a great meeting when Andrea Minichiello Williams came and spoke to WPI on 5th October. We heard from her about the legal issues surrounding christians in the workplace and how the Christian Legal Centre work to support the cases we read in the paper where Christians are discriminated against in the workplace. Andrea brought members of her team, and also introduced us to Duke Amachree. Duke worked for Wandsworth council for almost 18 years and was sacked in July this year discussing his faith with a client. Not only was he told it was inappropriate to ‘ever talk about God’, he was also told that he may not even say ‘God bless’. CLC are supporting Duke in his appeal. It was a greatly inspiring evening and we were all blessed by what Andrea had to say. To those who came, we hope you were inspired and challenged. To those who were unable to make it, we hope to see you in the future.
